FLAC Volunteer Training event on Legal Aid, Mortgage and Debt Issues and an update on Employment law
2 March 2012
FLAC supports its volunteers through providing training events that are useful during volunteering in our Centres.
During our training courses we aim to cover 2 main topics that might come up more frequently in the FLAC centres. We also would like to introduce an agency/ organisation who could briefly introduce their work to you so that you can refer clients to them in confidence.
The upcoming training event will be held on the Wednesday, 14th March 2011, from 6.00pm till 8.00 pm in Dublin
This spring time training course will cover the following topics:
1. Introduction and update on the Legal Aid Scheme - Andrew Guy, FLAC Legal Intern
2. Mortgage and Debt Issues - Paul Joyce FLAC Senior Policy Researcher
3. Employment law - update on new employment rights and industrial relations dispute resolution mechanisms. (TBC )
The training course is free of charge for our volunteers, and CPD points are available for it.
The venue is to be confirmed, but will be in Dublin City centre.
If you are interested in attending this training event, please email volunteers (at) flac.ie by Friday 9th March 2012
