Culture Night at FLAC - Turning into Dorset Street

Join historian Peter Clarke in the birthplace of Sean O’Casey and learn about the rich history of Dorset Street and its surrounding areas. Hear tales of the proposed Royal Circus where Mountjoy Jail now stands, and stories of Henrietta Street, Blessington Street Basin, St. George’s Church and Hardwicke Place, and all the characters that made Dublin what it is today.

This talk will bring the area’s history to life. It is an opportunity for history lovers and the neighbouring community to come together and discover the past of the gems of the north inner city.
