FLAC Services during Covid-19
24 April 2020
FLAC Telephone Advice Clinics
As our face to face clinics are currently shut due to the Covid-19 pandemic, FLAC have organised phone legal advice clinics in response to the urgent need for legal advice
This is limited service and we will be aiming to provide 10 clinics a week for urgent legal queries.
Since the Covid-19 outbreak FLAC has hosted a number of remote phone clinics with volunteer lawyers in the areas of family law, immigration law, employment law and general law.
This service is a free confidential service that provides first stop, basic legal information, advice and referral and is delivered by FLAC volunteer lawyers.
Appointments will be made on a needs and availability basis.
Please contact our Telephone Information line for more information on 01-906 1010. Our phoneline staff will direct you to the services you need.
FLAC’s Telephone Information and Referral Line remains open.
If you are looking for basic legal information you can still contact FLAC’s Telephone Information and Referral Line 01-906 1010
Our phone line is open Monday to Friday 9.30-1pm and Monday evenings from 7-9pm.
Online Legal Information
You can also find further information in a series of ‘FLACsheets’ we have produced to provide information on your rights during the current outbreak. As this is an evolving situation, this information is subject to change so please check our website and social media regularly for updates.
These can be found on our website at: https://www.flac.ie/publications/category/legalinformation/
The FLACsheets cover queries about;
- Social Welfare
- Borrowers Rights
- Employment Law
- Family Law
- Landlord and Tenant Rights (in progress)
FLAC continues to fight for equal access to justice for all and endeavours to help the vulnerable to enforce their rights particularly in these uncertain times.
Stay safe everyone!
